Founded in 1927, Sherritt’s roots are in nickel. With operations in Canada and Cuba, we are a leader in the mining, processing and refining of high-purity nickel and cobalt – metals critical for the energy transition and growing adoption of electric vehicles.

Sherritt is also the largest independent energy producer in Cuba.

Sherritt’s Technologies group’s considerable depth of project and operational experience, and its scientific expertise developed over the years; particularly in hydrometallurgy and lateritic ore processing, represent a key differentiator for Sherritt.

We operate a successful nickel mine in Moa, Cuba and refinery in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta with an annual combined production capacity of 38,200 tonnes (100% basis) of Nickel and Cobalt.
