Sherritt has a comprehensive environmental management program which is overseen by the Environment, Health and Safety Committee of the Board of Directors.

Sherritt has a history of surpassing regulatory standards, while contributing responsibly to ecosystems around our operations. Although there are jurisdictional differences between our assets, we employ a consistent process to all of them. This includes data gathering to establish baseline environmental conditions, an estimate of the natural landscape and scope of proposed activities, an impact assessment, and proposed mitigation measures.
