The Ambatovy project is a large-tonnage nickel and cobalt project located in Madagascar (an island-nation situated east of the African mainland) with annual production capacity estimated at 60,000 tonnes of nickel, 5,600 tonnes of cobalt and approximately 190,000 tonnes of ammonium sulphate; and an estimated project life of 27 years.

When fully operational, Ambatovy is going to be among the world's largest nickel/cobalt mining and processing enterprises which will generate attractive economic returns and will deliver outstanding safety, environmental and social outcomes for all stakeholders.
