Sherritt's Metals Division is an industry leader in the mining and refining of nickel and cobalt from lateritic ore. Our global operations include a nickel and cobalt joint venture that has mining and processing facilities in Moa, Cuba and a refinery in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta (located just outside Edmonton). We have also completed construction at the Ambatovy Joint Venture in Madagascar, the largest lateritic finished nickel and cobalt operation in the world.
